You need to charge c/10 or 250 mA for around 15 hours as you mention. Get a good charger but for my NiMH batteries I use an old Hobbico Accu Cycle Elite. It automatically switches to trickle charge when full

if you are into Lipo batteries I would get a Hitec or similar charger. There are many out there
