Default RE: looking for slow flying electric

On Monday I flew my Thunder Tiger Sparky 400 for the first time. It's a beauty. The kit is an ARF for about $90. It doesn't come with a motor or gearbox. For an extra hundred you can get it with motor, gearbox and three-channel radio. The plane is slow-flying and kind of old timerish. For a Speed 400 sized plane it has a wingspan of 58 inches. It will probably thermal in the right conditions. I had a Great Planes 20AMP ESC in it and flew it on an 8 cell 600MAH NiCad pack. The radio I used was a Hitec Focus 3FM. This is a very relaxing flyer and I needed it as I had destroyed a Global PT-19 that same day. I got about a 6 minute flight. I intend to try a larger capacity pack. Hope this helps.
