I've done this more than once when building boats and it's always worked well. If it's something that doesn't work for you, that's fine too
Hydro your suggestion has a lot of merit. I felt pretty confident that I could duplicate the contour by eye. Once I have the shape of the LE then I hold the wing tip block up to the wing rib and outline the shape of the tip. Both your and my idea are doing the same thing only on opposite sides. Great minds think alike!
