My wife won't go near the bread ends and will leave them in the bag and start on slice Number 2 or three in the new loaf. So when I see a bag with ends in it it's peanut butter and jelly time for me. I love the ends. Chewy as heck with plenty of fight in them.
I guess growing up and having to hear, "but that's the best part"! of anything be that potato skins, bread ends, pizza crust, or even the fat and gristle off a steak makes me develop a taste for things that others toss away and waste.
