They come ( I think ) with a sleeve to increase the OD to 1/2" and an insert so it can be use with the retract's pin that it comes with which happens to be the thickness of the wire strut, we usually JB weld the insert into the strut then drill a hole and tap it, that screw will secure it to the pin, you could use two set screws if you like.
