I did a rookie paint mistake.
As I was taking off masking tape, an occasional fingernail would scrape up against the paint I just laid down.
And as all my practice pieces showed me, this ppg paint is very hard and loves to stick. But... there were a few spots were paint just flaked off! Argh!!
Then, as I remembered reading LGMgraphix’s paint post, I didn’t wash the Mibo!! I used scotchbrite on the primer just before laying down paint! Jets have to be washed with soap BEFORE paint!
Oh well, I’m glad it happened now and the paint only flaked in a few spots. I tried every spot I painted to see if the paint would flake and I only found a few places.
I washed the jet and will sand and use my airbrush to paint over the flaking parts.
