Yep good point.

HP= Power Applied over time.

Gas engines provide increasing power as RPMS increase for obvious reasons. But they lack the "OOMPH" per stroke that diesels have.

Glow engines kinda confuse this because they are a mixture of compression and spark/glow ignition.

BTW.. Diesel engines (real ones) actually do have glow plugs that they use to start themselves if the temperature dips below a certain point!
