The question I have is the original main bearing has a metal shield on both sides. I have a replacement Boca bearing metal shield and rubber shielded bearings. I’m assuming it’s OK to leave the shields on since the original had it or should I remove them?
remove both shields on the rear bearing and remove the grease, oil has to get to the front to oil the cam.
I have never seen or heard of a rear bearing having a shield in any RC glow engine. there may be one out there but I have not seen it.
