I installed sierra gear and added 1/8 plywood shims so the gear cleared the wing skin in the retraction cycle.
There is some lateral play in the gear as the slot is wider than the gear. Tow-in isn't adjustable with my particular sierra gear so to verify everything I plugged both wings together (with out the fues) and placed them in position than ran a axel size rod between them and set them at 0 degrees tow. It turns out that the blocks were perfect so no adjustment was required and the gear was installed centered in each slot.
