I have always used a spring loaded switch, the one mounted top back right, for me it works as I don’t have to take my thumbs off the sticks, I have a form of ABS braking as I can pulse the switch as many times as I need or full on, its not difficult to hold full on if for example you have a GS 200 controller.
There is a good benefit of this if you are using electric brakes, they are never accidently left on which can burn out your controller due to excessive amp draw.
Its one of those "It works for me", I’ve tried sliders and always go back to the spring switch, the Core radio comes with a single on off, first thing I did was change it to a spring on switch

Yes, down elevator worked perfect for me for a while but I have used the momentary button on my Multiplex and the spring switch on my Jeti for brakes for a very long time. If I used a slider I would have to put a rubber band on it to simulate a real brake

. Sliders are the worst of the three for me except maybe the front sliders on my old Evo.
