Default Looking for Ideas for the Next Build

Hmmm, was that me who wrote that almost three years ago (i.e., the previous post)?

Well, I finally crashed my red and white Rascal 80 (pilot error - strained it through a pine tree) and for the time that I had it, it ran really well. I loved it. Now I have to wait till Sig gets them back in stock to pick a new one up. The power will be the same as in the previous message with that AXI motor and a Castle 75A EDGE Lite ESC (admittedly, way more than needed but had on hand) and a 4S 3500mAh pack. So far, my only fault with it is that I feel that the airplane is overpriced. I'm getting my replacement as a combination Fathers Day/Birthday present.

Anyway, given that I will be building another one up again, I thought I might resurrect this thread in case there were any of you out there who, like me, were awaiting a replacement and had some time to think about the plane.

What I mean is, if you had to do it over again, would you make any changes??? For example, I replaced the LG bolts with 10-24 nylon bolts (and T-nuts) available at the home center. That saved my butt on one occasion when I struck something just as I was lifting off and it knocked the LG off. The bolts snapped, the plane kept flying, and it looked cool tooling around like it had retracts. I had to belly land it but I only had to replace 3 nylon bolts - the landing gear blocks stayed in place.

Do any of you have anything else that you would do differently if you had to do it all over again?
