The OS 33gt is a long stroke and as such in my opinion has a slightly better torque band than the other gas engines of its size. Ryan spent some time tuning the mid range and it ran really well until a ring gave away. OS replaced the motor and he has since installed and flown but only a couple times due to work and winter/spring off season. I saw big G fly his with DLE and performance was excellent considering it was near 11lbs (I think) and setup on a canister..sound was fine too. The DLE with rear exhaust is definitely a cleaner/easier install and the header may indeed hold up better over time. Computermonkey, I would like to see more details of your soft mount.
