finally a post about nitro drifting! 5 years old, but still nitro. HPI used to sell a "Type-A" tire which was a hard compound rubber tire, with tread patterns. The plastic "drift" tires are for mostly electric im assuming because of the weight. They are light so they wouldnt be able to run rubber tires. We nitro guys have a bit of weight on the chassis so we need grip, us the ability to lose traction. If your RS4 isnt equipped with the Hpi stageD kit id worry about modifying your engine layout to mid-chassis before i worried about tires. When u buy tires, usually the description will tell u if its harder or softer. Get the hardest RUBBER u can. Im in the process of building my 1/10 on-road into a real Stage-D ****
