It “might” be an easy swap except that for North American users it would need to be put back through the FCC/IC certification process. This would be prohibitively expensive for an upgrade itself. “Maybe” the only difference between the current system and the gen 2 will be the RF module. If so then it “might“ be possible to offer an upgrade program to swap out the modules once the gen 2 is certified. But that’s a pretty big maybe at this point. The simple truth is at this point no one knows what Jeti will actually offer or when. So if you own a DS-24 enjoy it’s fantastic capabilities. If you are thinking of buying a DS-24 don’t wait for vaporware. Buy the system that is available today and join the thousands that are happily enjoying it now.
