was originally an electric that someone at some time converted to gas. The more I looked at it the engine in the model looks like a HB .
61 Stamo Helicopter engine as you can just make out the black plastic cooling shroud past the heli head. That's a pretty large powerful
engine for this model. Rather over powered really as the original spec was for a .40-.45 engine. Still an interesting model.
I hate to admit how many of those Puma kits I have. I wondered why you never hear about them any more... I'd love to know what gears the thread author
purchased and from whom. I've never built my kits obviously. I'd gotten the kit initially when it first hit the market and was going to wait for the hoped for upgrades
then purchased another when Metal origin had a promotion for their new and improved kit sometime later; in fact I thought you bought one also Chuck at the
same time? I'd like to swap zinc gears for steel every chance I get.
