Ive never used the 3e.

The aim on Friday was to try the I Gyro SAT on both normal and with attitude assist on ailerons on my PST Reaction ( Core with 9 and 7
channel receivers) which has a low wing loading and thick wing section making it susceptible to turbulence. Other than that it is a delight to fly.

In normal mode, damping on all 3 axes, the model was even smoother, rock steady, and even more pleasant to fly in way I cant really describe, it just felt nicer.

Then to attitude assist on ailerons, my first try at such application.

After setting the gain to just stop oscillation at low, medium and high speeds, no GPS correction needed, in roll, then tried:

Straight flight, upright and inverted, wings remained exactly level with aileron stick free.

360 degree turns with 45 and 60 degrees of bank. With just elevator input the model completed the turns with EXACTLY the same bank angle throughout.

Loops. Start with wings level , apply elevator only, loop completed with wings exactly level throughout, no corrections required.

4 point rolls. Model stopped precisely at each point without any wobble or overshoot.

Non of the fine tuning aspects were tried as not needed.

I am now hooked on aileron attitude assist and hugely impressed by this little gyro with its quite uncanny accuracy.
