Only problem is that type of boating does not fit in everywhere. Sailboats don't infringe on tranquility. And they are a bit like soaring. There are tricks to
rigging sails, weight and balance, etc. I am looking at building an airboat hydro though, along the lines of this but smaller:
The Artic Cat is HobbyKing's version of the Polaris that's been around forever and takes off off water or grass. I always wanted to build one, but
even though it's a foamboard plane it is a bit of work from scratch. For $37 you get everything cut, the hardware, motor mount, the carbon fiber
pieces, and graphics.
Anyway, the idea is it's an airboat that can also be flown at 20 or 30 feet above the water without worry about the FAA, registration, Remote ID, etc.
Everything else, sub-250 gram (or close enough).
