After a couple of years of collecting cobwebs, I recently rescued the Corkscrew from the pile in the corner. I soaked the engine with oil to get her free again. I then set about to do some repair patchwork on the covering which was coming loose around many of the edges. Lots of my older glow models covered in Ultracote have loose seams and delaminating clear layer from the color. After a few hours of tinkering, patching, and installing a new receiver and battery, she's almost ready to take back to the field again! Looking forward to seeing this old gal take to the skies again. The wind forecast doesn't look favorable this weekend, but she'll be ready just in case. I sometimes wonder if I'm the last guy around still flying a Stu Richmond Corkscrew.
