Where are you located? My BEST advice is to ask the local people who slope in your area. If there is a suitable hill, somebody will know. The basic hill would be one with a large "bowl" in front with unobstructed wind for several miles. The hill would be a sharp point at the top, with no wind on the backside.

You really need to ask because even with knowing what you're looking for, it can be a daunting task to find a suitable place. I recently heard of a place by a fellow flier. There are several bowls along the hill that look like they'd work. Only ONE does, another works in Santa Ana (East) wind. It took a couple of trips to find the "working" area.

Once you've found a place you know works, and you get your DS chops together, you can explore marginal places. Prepare to do a lot of walking.

A Zagi will DS, I've done it many times. You'll have more success long term by getting a plane designed for DS. The Electron (http://www.californiasailplanes.com), the Moth (http://www.northcountyflyingmachines.com)and the JW (http://www.bowmanshobbies.com) are all proven planes. There are others, but those are good.

It doesn't take much wind, today I was DSing with a frontside wind of less than 10 MPH.

Don't give up.... some guys would like to make this seem like voodoo, and it isn't. It is just practice, patience and a good plane.
