My knee was thought to be borderline until they actually got inside. I was told to expect a cementless replacement but when the surgeon got in there he discover bone cysts had destroyed a lot of the bone needed to support the replacement. The xrays and MRI and not detected the damage. He had no choice to remove it all and use a glue in type. He was surprised I had tough it out for so long. It wasn't pain or the bad limp that got to me it was sudden knee collapses dropping me to the floor, concrete, etc. and that stuff is hard. Those kind of problems come on slowly and I think we get use to and try to ignore it. I'm still getting "I told you so!"s from the wife for not going to the emergency room 2 weeks ago when this mess started. Us guys can't remember what we had for lunch last Tuesday but our wives can remember every bone head stunt we pulled since the being of time. It will be 42 years for us this coming Memorial day.
