Default Back to the build

After neglecting my SC10T6.1 build for the summer and just bashing my Rustler around, I'm finally getting around to finishing the Associated build. Everything is assembled, I'm just staring at 5 wires sticking out of the ESC and wondering what's the best way to solder everything up. I have a good plan for the 3 wires to the motor. That leaves the 2 wires to the battery.

I feel like the cleanest solution would be to solder some posts onto the wires and just make sure the lengths are such that I can't plug the battery in backwards. However, the batteries did not come with any posts and my initial search on Tower Hobbies didn't find anything.

The other obvious solution would be to put in a Deans connector, which I have plenty of, which would mean no danger of connecting backwards, but this would also mean finding some posts to put on the other end of the Deans pigtail.

My charger came with a decent assortment of pigtails, there's one that has the two posts to connect to the battery on one end and a Deans on the other, but it also has the balance wires. I could theoretically use that and just leave the balance connector dangling inside the truck. But that's pretty lame, and the wires would be way too long anyway.

So I guess my question is, what do real RC people do? And/or, where can I get the posts to connect to a Zeee shorty pack?

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
