RE: Eagle 2 ARF & 4 Stroke Engine?
Snoop,
Sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the attitude of some of the member of the club. If I am a problem TELL me I will not be offended. I would like to know if I offended someone. The guy who flys every day, who told you to get another plane because the Eagle will not last long, has a history of crashing. So far he has gon through 8 Cubs. He gets nicer as you get to know him. But if you are not comfortable with him do not go when he is there. He flys every day from about 10am-2pm. If he said that is a sort of serious and somewhat mean way I applolgise. He is tired of training new pilots. Trainers can and do last a long time. The treasurer's trainer lasted him 2 years before the right wing fell off during flight. Mine is still going. And there is a guy who only flys his trainer. You will not necessarly crash it within a certain time frame just depends on your flying style. Many guys have different oppinions and attitudes about the cycle of R/C flying. Maby you would consider coming to the Christmas party and win equipment, supplies, (about one-thousand $$ in prizes) and eat cake and ice-cream. No business is conducted at the December meeting just a big party. There you could meet different members of the club, hear their conversations, expearance their personallities, and then make your stay in the club or join the farm group decision. I hope this helps some are intentionally mean, others sound mean, others do not understand you, others do not like answering newbie (dumb to them) questions, others do not like to give training, others are helpful, others lend you field tools, others are just there to look nice but not to do anything. It is all a matter of finding the right person. Once again my appologies for people who are shuning you from that first solo.
Sincerly,
