SolidiWorks is the way to go, you can buy it outright or get it via a subscription service, 3months, 6 months etc. been using since the late 90's and it is very powerful. They do screw you on the pricing yet from a commercial point, one design can recoup costs very quickly.

I looked at Fusion when it first came out, the only issue I found is it is cloud based which means you need to be connected to the server to work.

The surface CAD is one thing the internal (structural) is almost more important, load bearing, control setup etc. SW has the capability to stress test pretty well anything as long a specify the material and load points.
