With the spektrum radio you can set up a programmed curve. This curve is still fully proportional. How it works- once set up and as you move the stick from center to the left or right out to 75%, the servo will only move 10% giving you fine control while moving on the runway. Beyond 75% stick throw, the servo moves much further to give maximum throw for turn around. This set up also does not have any effect on rudder throw and gives much better control than expo. There is also no need to move any switches to activate the function.
This is how I set up all my jets as well as every jet I set up for others.
