The plane that I learned to fly RC on was the SIG Kadet Senior that I built over 20 years ago. Equipped as a 3 channel (engine, elevator, rudder). Powered with a Thunder Tiger GP42. I still have it, and I flew it a year ago after I gave it some upgrades. New battery, tank, receiver. Flies like you'd expect. Slow circuits, it will loop, fly inverted. It flies best in light winds. I've had a guy at the field suggest I add ailerons, bigger engine, less dihedral, but I would never do that. It's perfectly fine as a slow flying 3 channel. It might be boring for most to watch, but I love the slow circuits I do. Here's a current photo.
