Have you tried it without the Champion. In other words, a couple of servos plugged directly into the receiver? At least you would know if issue was on transmitting end or receiving end.
When I turn on the Champion but leave the CORE turned off, all of the servos turn on and don't jerk/jump. You can hear that they are all on. But the moment the CORE is turned on, everything goes crazy with the servos.
