Although it never gained the popularity it should have, the Hitec Aurora 9 channel TX is a great performer. I've been flying them for 8 years now. They come up in the RCG classifieds from time to time for $150-$200 with either a 7 channel or 9 channel RX. Some guys hate to buy used electronics and I can certainly understand why but the two I have bought since they discontinued them were in great condition. Hitec does and will continue to service them too.
