Default RE: Hovering Funtana

After much research I finally found the perfect solution to hover the funtana. I scrapped the front engine setup all together and epoxied a main rotor from a ratpor 60 on the top of the fuse. I ran a DA50 for power. The first flight I noticed that the plane would easily flat spin, but it still wouldn't hover really well so I cut away the rudder and mounted a tail rotor in the rear. Now I can hover til the cows come home . My next project will be to scrap the wings since they aren't generating much lift anymore and mount the whole fuse to a 12' jon boat I have sitting in the shead for a float project. A word of warning to anyone trying this project. Make sure you use high torque micro servos to keep the weight down, and take the evinrude off the back of the jon boat before mounting the fuse so that it won't be tail heavy. haaaaarrrr
