As I been told, the Kangaroo was designed by German modellers after a long trip to Asia in wich a turbine demonstration went not so well... so they designed in a napkin while flying back to Germany a simple and practical model, with a exposed turbine and no thrust tube than could be used as a engine test stand with wings.. with a Mig 29 look on it.
Initially it was named "TurboTrainer" but after the first landings it was named Kangaroo because of its tendency to jump...
I was In Metropolis, in 1998 when Andreas, Wolfgang and Thomas demonstrated the model at the Superman jet rally.. at the time his company was called FIberclassics and the fiberglass fuselage/veneer covered foam wings and balsa stick structure rudders were sold for Us$ 300 (!) It was amazing to watch this demo, and I get hooked on this plane... I have other jets, some scale, other faster (in particular that specially modified Hotspot) but i never logged so many hours of fun with other plane like this one. It is a great design.
what retracts do you use ?? . It does not come with them
