Actually, I run them for a couple of reasons
- I already have several and they work well for what I need
- The instructions that come with the S9156 specifically calls for nicads.
I know, LiPos, LiFes, and several other types have better numbers and most swear by them. I, on the other hand, have never been one that jumps at the latest and greatest just to keep up with the guy next store. I have one LiFe pack and that is in one of my transmitters. Charged it three years ago and it's still got a good charge in it. My other transmitter has a battery holder with AA batteries in it. Both work fine, no need to spend money on another LiFe pack since I only can use one at a time.
