Started on my mantlet today. Im using a piece of steel tubing with 3mm wall thickness that I split down the middle and lapped level. A 16 mm piece of aluminium half round forms the inside bit.

The machine gin mounts are 6mm silver steel bored out to 4 mm. I really have to even up the edges of teh cut slots in the tops of the shrouds. I chain drilled them out and they need filing. Next bit will the machine guns themslevs.

There are an awful lot of seams that need filling and sanding but I will get there eventually.
