RE: Capiche 140 EX and IC version
Personally I would not go for the Hitecs... false economy... do you know there is one guy building his third Capiche 50... the first was a proto which got flown to death, the second was a full Monty kit which got hardly no time in before it got spanked, and he came back for a third!
What happened to the second ? Elevator servo stripped its gears in flight.... yep you guessed it... Hitec !
He will be putting something else in this time I suspect... still... good feedback when they come back for another kit !
Anyway...this is about 140s...
Newsletter due out tonight with some 140 news and opportunities for subscribers ! saying no more !
IH will Im sure be doing deals when the kits are done for radio and engines and all the bits and pieces....
Simon... that comment did make me laugh ! But its true... you really do get what you pay for in this life and the C140ex with YS power is a mercedes of the aero world (unless you dont like mercs!)
The 140 was actually designed before the 50, and it was my having a go on the 140 and getting jiz.. well y'know.. that prompted me to push Baron to do the 50.... "What if we could get 140 style performance in a 50 sized plane" or something like that was how it started...
The 50 has surprised a lot of people... now imagine all that capability with something smoother, that seemed to do it slower and easier.... The 140 is an absolute puppy to fly and it will undoubtedly make you look like an expert if you dont think you are now !
Ive not been excited about a new model like this since the C50.... and before that... probably my competition pattern model from the early nineties ! (which Im resurrecting at the moment since it hasnt flown for donkeys... in fact I think it was the Baron that last flew it ! - still got all the original gear in ! and the 120AC is getting a strip down and service before going back in - there that indicates how old it is ! Was the best YS on the market at the time !)
anyway Im blabbing now...
