Keep it as simple as possible, no need to complicate things, 8-10ch. radios are sufficient to fly most of even complex models. More important is how much you want to spend on receivers, no point having 24ch. radio when you can't get a receiver to serve it.
thank you joe, i purchased the dx6 and have been fairly happy with it. the screen gets a little funky in cold weather, but other than that it has been fine.
it does eat batteries, so i have been considering rechargeable. i don't use spectrum rx, the 15 dollar lemons work great.
