I used to deal with MACS.
anyway... Luke why you so addicted to Saito... what does the 150 cost to you ?
I think the Hattori stuff aint too bad noise front if you mount them properly - should not be hard mounted, and I squeeze the down pipe to hush it a little more !
your are right that YS will run on 10% but they become much more sensitive to needle change, temperature and anything else..
give them 20% and you can set it and forget it !
Lots of people quote BHP figures to me, especially on cheaper / 2 stoke motors. I got nothing against em but you must remember that torue is critical.... an engine can have all the horses in the world but in this territory it s no good if they cant gallop up hill from a standing start. Your RPM needs to be under 10k - then make some comparisons..
do i sound like im on a soap box !?
Philly - like the comment - my thoughts exactly !
Ian - I get suspicious about you sometimes !
Luke - Baron is not recommending this engine... just commenting that on paper it seems like a good alternative... I doubt you will ever lure him away from his beloved YS. Remember... with a YS you can pop that tank right on the cg and never tell the difference in flight between half full and half empty !
Unless you use an extra pump right Sprink and they seem to work well dont they ! ;(
Ivebeen out in the workshop tonight packing frikkin pushrod sets, ball link packs, control horns the lot... fussy lot at IH they are... some bits from here, some bits from there !
I think by end of next week everything will be ready for supply... another ***** load of props came in today too... still, we got most of them packed to send back out to trade tomorrow so it aint all bad...
