The topic is LE flaps or some call it slats etc., a total waste of time and totaly useless on smaller models as mentioned in 70mm EDF jets examples. They actually create more problems, turbulance, drag, wortex, etc. with the little "foamy" piddly models. It is just a sales gimmick by some manufacturers to impress beginners hoping to fly jets.
It might be a different story with large and heavy scale composite models at 1/4 + sizes.
If they concenrated more on finishing models more streamline than the usual inferior strait cut off trailing edges etc. etc. they would certainly create better flying models. LOL.

I suggest rather spend some time on improvements of LE & TEs than wasting a time on sales gimmicks.


Or improvement by replacement of inferior stock hinges.

Never ending improvement of ARFs is my trick.

To make them fly better.

Easy to find out which fly better.
