That must have been quite a site when then the wings came off your jet , ouch . Have a friend with a similar thing happen when he was CD the Jet rally event he accidently pushed his wing tube past the windtube stop it was broken .
He was talking with people while assembling the jet and didn't realize the carbon tube wasn't in the proper position, went past the stop. Well, he took off and banked, then the one wing folded up and made a loud smacking sound as the wings touched and that was the end of the Jet.
Getting back to wire length, it's important to keep only what is needed for length, I Have found that the Powerbox Premium Maxi wire is lighter than the Premium wire, yet still always the same current though only the coating is thinner and more flexible than premium wire.
So when you run twenty to thirty feet in a plane like the Rebel Pro or Max it can add up to a good of dead weight in the aircraft. It all adds up quickly.
