Default What is ARF or RTF?

ARF stands for "Almost Ready to Fly" and typically refers to model airplanes or drones that require some assembly before they can be flown. An ARF kit will usually come with all the major components, such as the fuselage, wings, and tail, already built, but will require some final assembly, such as attaching the wings and tail to the fuselage, installing the engine or motor, and adding electronics.

RTF stands for "Ready to Fly" and refers to model airplanes or drones that come fully assembled and are ready to fly right out of the box. An RTF model will typically come with everything you need to fly, including the transmitter, battery, charger, and any necessary electronics.

The choice between ARF and RTF will depend on your level of experience and the amount of time and effort you want to put into building and assembling your model. If you are new to the hobby or don't have a lot of experience with building and assembly, an RTF model may be the best choice. If you enjoy the process of building and want more control over the components and setup of your model, an ARF kit may be a better option.
