Doubtful: By the looks of it, the "carb bore" is larger than the inner diameter of the individual headers, and on those engines only one cylinder inducts per revolution. So that bore is excessive.
Even if the venturi of the carb has the same diameter as the separate header tubes, that would STILL mean that the mesh would be at a location of lower velocity, and thus a mesh would not present a real resistance.
Not too worried about that.
