As for your Jack Stafford plane, it's name is Tom Kitty, 25 and 40 size. I built the 40 size in the late 80's and lost it on the first flight. I did a high altitude snap maneuver which ended up in a inverted flat spin and the plane would not recover from it. So I just watched it spin itself into a freshly plowed bean field. If I had thought about it and reacted sooner I could have caught it before it hit the ground. I took my daughter and niece with me. My niece acted as a reporter and did a blow by blow and interviewed me about the crash. Crazy kid!
