Hi All,
My name is Joe (never met a guy named Joe I didn't like

) Anyway, I'm 42, thought I was 43, but my wife corrected me, gained a year. I got into RC helicopters about 7 months ago (have 2, 1 is scale, Bell 222, which I have to paint this winter). Started with planes (micro's) about 2 months ago. Currently I'm building a Donald 4 Seaplane. The instructions stink, but I read they used to come minus the instructions, so I guess I can't complain. I have plans for a Interstate L-6 (cool looking plane I think, but aren't they all). I purchased an ajusto-jig from a very nice person in the forum. He also sent me the original plans & article (1964?) for Das Ugly Stick (nice guy!). He suggested thats a good first scratch build. So I'm taking his advise. I also have plans for an Edge, which will definately be a much later project. I figure if I build a kit first that will help a little when I start the scratch projects. So I'm going to be a busy little "kid" all winter

Its a GREAT hobby! Also you meet a great deal of nice people willing to help all they can.
I'm the database administrator for UIC's College of Nursing. Great place to work, about 98% women

But I have to be good my wife works here too. Thats where we met. She, my second wife is great about my hobbies. My first wife wouldn't let me do or buy squat. She never would have "let me" get into this hobby. Good thing I caught her cheating. Now I'm happier than I ever was

Finally RCU has been
invaluable Its a kick *** site with so much helpful info & people.
Thanks RCU!!!!!!!!
