Here is my 2c. My son and I have various RC's ranging from Helicopters, Drones, crawlers, Racer/Bashers, these all use Lipo. When it comes to tanks I use Nimh batteries, I don't see the benefit of running Lipo's in them, maybe just me. But I will say I have had to remove a puffed and smoking Lipo from on of the bashers and it needed to be removed quickly. Luckily I did get it out in time before it went POOF. I could not imagine having to get one out of a tank that quickly.
