engine mounting, centerline & alignment?
Puting the EVO Trainer .45 engine on my Superstar. 1st plane so its all new. Superstar instructions say to be sure to mount the engine on the planes centerline, but explains no further. Its an ARF so the mount was already in place. Do I need to just eyeball it or is there a way determine the exact location?
Thanks to the forums I found out i have clamp style of mount and I dont have to replace the mount or redrill it, because when I first looked at it I thought, "Damn, this aint right"
Also thanks to the forums I've learned a lot about thrust angles. Now my guess is I need to set up the engine with no directional thrust. the way the engine sits on the mount, there's enough play that I could unintentially mount the engine at an angle. Again, is eyeballing it good enough or should i say, measure from the windtips to the prop shaft to make sure its square.
Searched forums for this info but no luck.
