I see no reason why it wouldn’t work. The original CG and incidents will be fine. The model was designed to have a fair amount of positive stability as is. This means it will trim at a certain airspeed and climb with the addition of power. Your modification will add to that a little. If you find it too much, you can add a little down thrust to help compensate.
