Thanks for taking the time to engage on this, I know I'm going against the grain (and possibly against common sense). However, I've got 2 of these defunct 1/24 Leopards and, if I can do it cheaply enough I'd like to convert them both to proportional, rather than just chuck them. I quite like a challenge, plus 1/24 is closer to the scale of my scale helis and I like the idea of using them in the same arena.
I'm going to reveal my lack of knowledge here - I understand that to use the XK-X6 transmitter I will need to replace the controller (with a TK7.0 or similar)
and the receiver.
1st question - I assume the receiver is incorporated into the original printed circuit board in the tank?
2. I expect I can identify the input connection to the PC board by following the antenna lead, what about the output wire - how do I identify that?
3. What receiver unit should I replace it with?
4. How do I identify which sockets on the new controller (TK7.0, etc.) apply to which functions?
Thanks in advance for your patience with this - I find it an interesting challenge to try to achieve this objective and I hope together we can solve it. Imagine all the hated and abandoned 1/24 scale tanks that can be brought back to life
