You would not need a separate receiver with those transmitters. To use your radio, you need to find a receiver that's compatible with it, usually the same brand.

The exception would be if you use the taigen motherboard, because that can be plugged in to run off a hobby grade transmitter. Of course, you still need the receiver that goes with your transmitter.

And again, for 100 pounds you can get a ready to run Sherman in 1/16th scale.
