Thanks all for good input.! The engine has now been running and it started very easily on what we call "alkylate gasoline" containing 2% "biodegradable" oil. I choose to add another 1% of regular two stroke oil. The engine ran very well and all I needed to adjust was the high speed screw which was opened another half turn.
This fuel contains no alcohol whatsoever according to the content labelling so it should be safe for the carb diaphragms.
