Tactic radio delay/problems
I have a 47" chinese hull with a ported/light piston 29. It does a real 50mph gps, its faster then any of the other boats I've seen in real life. I have a ttx300 controller and tr325/tr326 receiver, both of them have enough of a delay to have caused me multiple horrible crashes, when I let off the throttle it sometimes takes a fraction of a second to do it and same with the steering. Any hiccup at 50 mph with the controls seem to result in some kind of disaster, most recently a full speed collision that destroyed another boat (split the hull in 2, top cap went flying on a 51 rio). My boat has been bombproof, have only had to patch a few holes in the hull ect... but I feel bad for all the other boats that may get in my way lol. I've blown 3 rudder shear bolts this weekend alone from running ground and hitting buoy's, its getting bad! Its also happened quite a few times when it gets pretty far away the receiver will just pick a spot and the boat may end up going straight for the bank at 40mph or running circles at 20mph until the gas runs out or it overheats. I have 2 325s and one 326, all have separate issues. one no matter what I do to the endpoints always parks at full throttle when the power is off... Brand new battery and switches. I keep using these pieces of **** because they have been completely waterproof in use, never had one fail from sinking the boat, and for most of the time it works good... until it doesn't.
Anyways, these obviously aren't good enough for what I'm doing, new parts aren't available, I understand its outdated junk. What do I replace it with? My wifes enforcer has a futaba setup from 1997 that works flawless, makes me kinda lean toward buying that brand. My 2 friends with 3 other gas boats have spectrum setups that have receivers that seem to fail when a splash of water gets near them. I keep my receivers in a balloon gooped up with silicone at the end and some rice inside with and extension harness, but there's been several times testing I ran them just hangin out and sunk the boat, no trouble with getting wet.
What's the move, is there any receivers that will work with my controller? If not what's a good reliable set up that has a receiver that can take a little water just in case.
