When possible, this is my preferred method to mount servos. Each servo is attached to the tray using four 2-56 cap head screws. This necessitates the use of blind nuts.

The back side of the servo tray, each blind nut is epoxied in place.

I often see the grommets incorrectly installed on servos. In this particular case, note the divider protruding between the mounting holes. This will play an important role when installing the grommets.

Look carefully at the grommet. Note the width of the top of the grommet is different from the bottom. It's important that the narrow (top) part of the grommet is installed to meet the divider as shown in the previous photo.

Sometimes the brass eyelets are difficult to install. Next time try slipping the eyelet over an awl, this makes installation much easier.

Make sure the eyelet is inserted through the bottom and NOT the top of the grommet.

I made these washers to spread the load evenly when tightening the cap screws. This works so much better than using individual round washers.

A little polishing and...

This is what they look like installed.
