That carbon fiber landing gear is fantastic by comparison.
While the stock aluminum gear could look a lot better with some filling, grinding, and sanding, it would never come as close to scale looking as the carbon fiber.
Not to mention it would never weigh less and still hold the plane.
I'll be watching to see how you finish off the landing gear "cavity"

Thanks Rick! Have you been sneaking in my shop at night? 😄 I've been working on that very project. It's unique in that there is a shape change from very angular on one end to rounded on the other end. The stock plans fall short of addressing this problem...
