Made the same type of jig to drill two more holes in the landing gear pocket. These holes will eventually hold a bracket for the wing struts.







This is one area of the plane (and plans) that doesn't make sense. If I could go back to when I was framing up the fuselage, I would have addressed this problem by raising the area behind the gear pocket 1/4" to be at the same plane as the area in front of the gear pocket.



Not only did I have to deal with a height change, I also had to deal with the shape fore and aft of the gear pocket.



I tried to blend it as best I could. This small transition piece is removable should the gear need service or replacement. I'll post pictures of how it's attached ...(as soon as I figure it out) lol.
